Looking for any experiences with refurbishing counter top by kitchen sink. Black Corian? multiple scratches. replace or refurbish? costs?
Thanks!

corian can be sanded out just use a random orbital sander with a vacum and you won't have a lot of dust. I'd start with 220 grit and go finer, 220, 320, 400 and you can go all the way up to 6000 grit which will give you a high gloss mirror finish. once you get to 400 and above you need to get the foam backed paper as it does a much better job. as your going finer keep looking for scratches and you might have to back track some grits to remove them. the corners you can hand sand first with the grit your using and just sand in a circular motion and it won't scratch as bad. its not hard just takes a little time. I got a cabinet shop and do tops all the time so if you need more advise let me know and like I said it not hard just takes some time to get it right. and black is the hardest color to work with but it looks good when its done.
