Bringing a Dancer 34' up for season from Florida. Getting quotes of around $3500 for full service slips in area. Does that sound right. For six months?

I'd agree with Henry. My boat was in Boston in 2014 and the full service marina there was almost $200 per foot.

Normally 4/1 - 11/1 or there about, depending on the marina - When I kept my boat in New England I always paid between $100 and $150 per foot - the cape and certain "resort" areas can be $200 plus - I paid $35 pr foot for my wet slip for the winter season (10/15-5/15 where i stored)

I pay about $230per foot at prime location in Falmouth harbor. No amenities other Than free water.

Boston Harbor rates run from $125-$200 per foot in the commercial marinas. Somewhat less as you go North and somewhat higher as go South toward the Cape. Plus add the winterizing and winter storage fees. Makes Florida look like a bargain. Our yacht club is at $41ft summer and $18-$25 per foot for winter.

Wow!!! I'm Glad I'm in Alabama for once! 250 per month for a 30ft covered slip with electricity and sewage waste removal service! Some nice Marina amenities too, nothing fancy but nice golf course, campgrounds, cabins, and on site Repair with water lift.

Amen to kd3's comments. I'm in eastern WA on the Columbia River and have a 60' x 20' covered slip in a 6 year old marina for $250/month. That includes water but not power. No other amenities, but there is a gas/diesel dock with free pumpout a hundred yards or so from my slip.

All of your comments only cement the idea that I made the right choice when I bought a house on the water.....I walk out the back door, and there is my boat! Electric included in my utility bills, dockage fees included with my mortgage payment!

Marina right on Narragansett Bay. Includes water, power. Has a pool, hot tub, 2 club houses with showers. Night club on a barge in the marina with entertainment every night.
If you pay in full by Nov 1 for the following year it's $95 per foot.

$175 /ft where we are headed on northshore of LI and that's only for the slip use. Pool =extra elec=extra $10.50 per pump out
I have to see what Harold would change me.

Harold,
I am jealous, The problem with your set up on Cape Cod is that the house would be $1.2mill plus flood insurance. The floor insurance on the house would probably pay my slip fee.

Hey I already discussed this with Harold, I call dibs. I think Harold forgot to note that it comes with 1 free home cook meal per week!

Love to have you here Joe, but my dock is just not big enough. I barely got Ron and Wendy's boat tied up when they came over for a visit! Besides I think Dean did have dibs!

Thanks. It is not a bad way to live, but if the houses here cost that much I would not be here! Thankfully, even after Sandy, the flood insurance is not that bad for me. My house is 9 feet above mean high water, so I have a pretty good rate. (Not having contents coverage does help with the premium also. We made a decision that paying $3,000 a year to cover the depreciated value of our stuff on the first floor, family room, son's playroom and office, did not make sense when the stuff was all 10+ years old. Now that a lot of it was replaced after Sandy could be time to reconsider, but I hope to never have that situation again!)

PS - sorry for the detour of the thread!
