Corsa Thru-hull diverter chattering

I heard a noise I had never heard from the motor before this past Saturday. It was a sucking sound when the engine hatch was down. When I raised the hatch, it quickly became a rattling. I hit the "throttle only" button and put it in fast idle and went to the engine compartment to track it down. I traced it to the starboard Corsa diverter. The solinoid connector rod was not moving, so it must be the diverter. Anyone ever had this before? I am guessing there is a rubber gasket that fits around the diverter to prevent this, but I want to know for sure before I dismantle it. It is amazing how losing your job makes you more DIY!:smt021
