Does anyone know if the 97 sundancer had a solid hull or cored hull? How can you tell?

You need the Serial Number and call Sea Ray and ask. Different plants and different years and models have a variety of construction techniques.

450 dancers and above were first to have cored hulls. You have cored deck.

I read it was the larger Rays from late 90's 40ft and up, I have a 25 so I'm wondering. The reason I ask is because I'm looking to add a transducer in the hull for my garmin 440 and an in hull transducer will not work on a cored hull. I've also read that sometimes the bottom is solid but the sides of hull are cored.

Solid bottom, solid sides.

How can you tell? Drill a hole! :smt001
