Coolant sample for Cummins Gen - Carboxylate Test Failure

I recently had coolant samples tested for my Cummins, MDKBJ, generator. It’s a 2 year old gen, normal run times, serviced as needed.


The oil samples were fine but the test notes the Carboxylate “failed”.


Interesting, because the lab gave an overall pass, but fail on this particular chemical.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

I was wondering if it may be due to a factory additive?

probably an additive used by the antifreeze manufacturer, says it will control expansion ? I would change the fluid test it mid season..
