Cool boats you've encountered along the way

That's a stunning dayboat

A stunning dayboat that can also sleep 4 people in beds!

When you look at the sleeping accommodations on the SR 350 SLX, it's amazing what Sessa packed into this 34!

(And don't even get me started on those awesome Volvo diesel sterndrives...probably can squeeze almost 2MPG at a nice 30-32mph cruise speed!)

We bought this 1979 Express Cruiser at the boat show for $19,000. Sold it for $17,000 with 3,800 hours on it. The color and hull design were considered very sleek back in the day. It was a cool boat.

"Seaquest" pic taken by yours truly back in the day. It was nearly brand new at the time. Belonged to Rich DeVos. We were on our 300 Weekender parked on the other side of his boat. Macinac Island for those who do not recognize the harbor.

This was my grandfather's 1948 Chris Craft 20ft Custom Runabout. First boat I ever ran, learned to water ski behind it. I can still remember crazy little details about that boat, the way it sounded, the smell, the handpainted striping on the deck and the red leather seating - the gear selector was in the floor and the throttle was in the steering wheel. The ride and handling was so unlike any fiberglass v-hull boat. I would give about anything to have it back.

We saw this sailboat anchored in the Exumas over New Years. The picture doesn't do it justice - beautiful, sleek boat. Supposedly 250'.

Relatively new boat, custom built, basically a floating patio with connected entertainment room, at least 20+ feet wide.

On our trip down the ICW Sunday we passed this mast at a bridge in Daytona. Must be a boat down there somewhere.

BTW there is an abandoned boat, maybe a few of them, every 15 to 20 miles on the ICW in this part of Florida. Some beached, some partially submerged.

I love the classic wooden boats. Quite a few in my area come up for sale. The pic you posted reminds me of this one...

Harbor has been busy lately. Mackinaw sporting a new coat of red paint. For those not from the Great Lakes, this is a major league ice breaker.
