Converting from raw water cooling to FWC on 7.4?

Saltwater/corrosion issue still very much in play as far as the elbows and risers? Not much peace of mind there. To each his own I guess.

Well I agree, if you leave your boat in the water. I trailer so even though I have FWC I still flush the system when I return home, so my hopes are to extend the life of everything for as long as possible.

Hi y'all. I just found the site and thought I'd chime in on this thread. After 10 years I converted my 7.4 to FWC for no reason other than I'm a boat hobbiest and I wanted to. My '96 290DA has been used mostly in fresh water with a yearly trip to the coast. I used a San Juan Engineering kit . They didn't have a kit to fit my exact model so I had to make some "adjustments". The engine temperature rises quickly to 170 and pegs there so I'm happy with the results.

Anyway, thats my $0.02.
