Hi guys, I just purchased a 1977 SRV220 as somewhat of a project. Its my first Sea Ray. It's actually in pretty good shape considering its age. The water pump didn't look too good and was leaking so I decided to replace it (along with a handful of other parts). It's a 351w motor with a 2bbl carb. I was wondering if anyone has converted one of these over to 4bbl. Is it worth doing? I figure its going to be about $800-$900 total parts with the intake.

I had thought about doing the same thing with my 240WE but decided it wouldn't make any noticeable difference except in the fuel mileage (or lack thereof). Might gain a couple MPH but is it worth it for the extra fuel used?

Yea, I think I'm just going to keep everything as is. Sounds like most people who have changed over say its not worth the hassle or cost. Thanks for the reply.
