- No Engines But looking at an Outboard Conversion
Hi Everyone I have just bought a 1992 Sea Ray Sun dancer 290 the engines were kaput and I was fully aware of this and paid only £5000 rest of the boat is in great condition and I planned to convert to a single Outboard engine rather than fork out Thousands trying to install new inboards.
My biggest issue with this project is mounting a suitable bracket to hold a reasonable sized Outboard say 150-200HP
So first Question has anyone already done this or know where I can find links to others to an early 1992 Sea Ray Sun dancer or similar with the integrated bathing platform seen plenty of conversions on boats with vertical transoms but none involving the integrated swim platform
