The microwave in my SeaRay 2006 320 doesn't work right. The controls ar f******d. After applying power and entering the time of day, the coffee maker starts up, or sometimes the oven just starts.

Looking at putting in an LG LCSC1513ST convection mike. It's the only one that I can find that actually fits. Anyone with experience with the model ?

No recommendation on the new microwave but if you do replace the current one, before you toss it, please offer the glass coffee carafe for sale here in the parts classifieds. I am sure someone would appreciate it as people look for them from time to time. Good Luck with your replacement! Convection MW would be nice!

Not to take over a thread, but I have a question. Will / would a convection microwave work on the boat? Would it draw to much power? I've been thinking of doing the same thing.

Ours came with a convection / microwave and we use the convection to bake cookies, brownies, etc all the time. Takes no more draw that the microwave setting. You will love it.

My wife wanted to replace the microwave with a convection on our 380 but I was really concerned about the additional heat generated...wasn't sure the space was engineered for one that received regular use. I especially was concerned about ventilation. Would be interested in convection wisdom from other sages though.

Like the other post, what about the heat? Where is yours located in the galley?

Microwave/convection oven has a vent at the front top of the unit above the door. Heat has not been an issue for us. Mounted at counter height with a DVD and storage unit right above it.
