Considering NOT foging engines this year. Thoughts?

I am considering not foging my engines this year on my 2006 340DA. I am going to do everything else but I really do not like the idea of breaking the fuel line to run the premix through the engine. I have a friend whose never run it through the engine and never had an issue. I also add twice the dose of fuel stabilizer during the winter.
I was told by my mech not to it could clog the fuel injectors

After you add it to your tank, how long do you run the engine?

We add Stabil to our tank at the gas dock while filling up for end of season storage. We then use the boat another two hours including running the genny while on the hook for a week end. I had all the fluids changed after doing this and the genny is shut down until next year. We will probably have four hours on the mains when I move the boat to heated storage this Friday. Practically speaking, it's good to mix this stuff up. Even if you just go for a half hour ride you are good to go. Just don't turn it off, pour stabil in and put the boat away without running it for awhile.

I haven't fogged the engines since storing indoor heated. Not sure what I'd do with my fuel injected motors if I stored outside though...

Also, agree with SBW1 to run the boat after an oil change, fuel filter change, and adding stabilizer just to get everything mixed in and ensure that it's running properly. Having a few hours on new oil isn't going to be an issue while storing for the winter.

After much debate and discussion I have fogged my engines per the manual specs with the 2 stroke oil, gas, and stabil mix. It takes about 45 minutes by the time I get set up with water, fuel lines, etc... but the more I thought about it I kept coming up with the same question. Is it really worth skipping this step and I could not find and answer that lead me to beleive it was. With that the boat is ready for shrinkwrap once I give her a quick spraying down to get any leftover salt off.

I use 2 oz of 2 cycle oil plus 1 oz marvel mystery, 1/2 oz Stable 1/2 oz startron mix with gas to each spin-on fuel filter. Run for 1 minute at idle, usually will start to smoke a little. Shut down engine hook up hose from 5 gallon container to thoroflush valve on strainer. Then I put through -50 glycol through the heat exchangers approx 5 gals. It takes another 30 seconds. Shut down engine. remove flame arrestor and stuff with WD 40 soaked cotton rag to prevent moisture into throttle body. Done
