I just purchased a 2004 SR 420 Sedan Bridge and I am considering adding a hydraulic swim platform (Sea-Lift or TNT). Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of the two brands and most importantly the impact on boat performance. Thanks.

Sea Ray typically uses Florida Bow Thruster Lifts. See their website. This is the one we have on our 48.

I can't tell where you live or how you are planning to use the lift. There are a number of good lift companies. I have a TNT lift on my boat......it really depends on how you plan on using it and where.

In regards to performance. The lift itself can easily go 500 to 600lbs and adding a jetski on top of it puts close to 2000 pounds on the stern. That much weight on the stern will slow the boat down and put considerable strain on the transom. So, it is important to know what reinforcing any manufacturer will do to manage the load on the stern.
