A PSA for you guys FYI for emergency calls. My understanding is that any cell phone without a SIM card can be used to call 911 (and most other emergency numbers ) in an emergency. Of course your number does not get seen by the 911 operator and they cannot call you back if you get disconnected. But whatever quick key or swipe to dial emergency will work even if there is no SIM in it
I leave an old iPhone 4 plugged in my glovebox in my car that has my Music library in it, but that can also be used for an emergency 911 call if needed. The phone is basically worthless, but it has storage and emergency use. And its always charged up since its connected to the car via USB.
