I've got my eyes on a '98 Sea Ray 310 DA that is in excellect shape, with one caveat... there's alot of corrosion on the trim tabs, prop, and lower unit. As you'd guess, the Bravo III rears it's ugly head again (from reading these forums) - I'm at a crossroads of what to do.
The broker seems to feel it is surface - and that I shouldn't be all to concerned. They recommended replacing the worn anodes, and adding some items that Mercruiser recommends since all this happened. Something about a MerCathode system, etc...
Is there anyway for it to come out in a survey that the corrosion has gone internal? Is the surface corrosion really something to walk away from this boat on?
For anyone really educated in this, please feel free to reach out via PM, and I can provide link to pictures.
