We have a Raymarine C80 but also kept our Garmin 720 from our old boat. On our old boat it simply plugged in via a male/female quick connection (not sure of the proper terminology). On our 340 the set up isn't same. Is there a simple way to get power to the Garmin unit?

It sounds like you didn't bring the cable for the Garmin from the old boat. If that's true, you need to buy a power/data cable for the 720, and then hook it up to the boat's electrical system. The cable should be $30 or less (West Marine wants $30, so that's pretty much the top of the market).

If you want it to be REALLY quick and easy... Get a universal cigarette lighter plug (about $5) and attach the red & black wires that are in the Garmin's power cable to the Cig plug. Simply plug it into your 12V acc outlet. May not look the prettiest, but it's dirt cheap and easy.
