Condering to buy a 1988 268 Sundancer

If anyone has questions about the boat in question, I would be more than happy to answer them. It is my boat and has served my family well over the last 4 years. We do have meticulous records and are available to be viewed by any potential buyer going back to the original owner.
I wish I could take credit for the incredible shape the boat is in, but like I said, we have only had it the past 4 years and just did our part.
Thanks

I had an 87 268 for five years, put 500 hours on the 454 with no problems. The only thing I will caution you about, is... The Alpha drive, mated to a big block. Sea ray had a lot of problems with this set up. The 454 was tearing the upper gearset out of the drives. They only used the Alpha for two years due to multiple law suits and problems. If you do not hammer the boat comming out of the hole, it should hold up. I installed a heavy duty oversized upper gear set in mine, and never had a problem. Otherwies it is and awesome boat that is well appointed for a 26 ft boat. Sea Ray did a great job with this one.

Twin 4.3L's on this boat is the only way to go!

Last Nov I picked up a 88 340 DA for 14,900. Ditto on the survey. The boat listed for 29,000< I got him down to 17,900 before the survey. I made sure the paperwork did state depending on the results of a survey and sea trail. The 1,000 I spent on the survey brought the boat down to 14,900. Well worth it! I did end up putting in about 3,800 to get it ready for this season. The biggest expense was the swim platform. Good luck
