I just replaced the clarion unit from my 1999 340DA. I have for sale the clarion head unit with cassette, 6 disc cd changer M-635 and two APA 2030 Clarion marine amplifiers rated at 30W X 2. I also have the helm remote control.

This is the factory installed system all working properly with no known issues. I upgraded to a more powerful system.

Total system

I will seperate if you need a particular item for your system.

Had a deal made on the amps and remote, it fell through so I have been told my price is higher than it should be, first $200 for everything can take it, it all works good, remote cable would need to be purchased from clarion, couldntget the old one out. You pay whatever shipping costs are incurred, ill ship however you want. Thanks.

Maybe I was off on my price, i just sold the helm remote and the two amplifiers for 150 to a dock neighbor, I thought the head unit was worth 100 so maybe 250 should have been a better price.

I would be interested in hearing some more details about your new install. I have considered doing the same over the winter.

I have a system with 6 speakers. 4@ helm Pioneer) and two at cabin bow (OE). I have a newer head unit installed by previous owner with Sirius. It says Hi power 4 x 32W. One set of speakers in the cockpit barely puts out any sound at all, which I supsect is either and impedance issue or two sets of speakers hooked up in parallel or some other audio voodoo.

I have a head that needs to be reset every time we turn it on. All the controls freeze until we reset. We may be interested in your headset. Should interchange with ours. We have a 2001 340.

Since your unit is out, perhaps you could answer a question for me.

My 2005 Clarion has a selectable position labeled "AUX" but there are no cable inputs for an AUX device. The manual says AUX accepts inputs from an RCA type connector.

Question: Is there a connector position on the rear of the unit for AUX inputs? I don't know if yours had an AUX input like mine.

My 12 year old IPod freak is dying to know!

Me too! Same question. I want to take DVD leads directly into the unit instead of turning on the mid-cabin berth TV, tuning the stereo, programming the TV to transmit, then getting an FM signal for TV over the speakers.

Heck John,

I was going to start a new thread with my question because I knew you would have known the answer!

Sorry, my unit does not have the aux inputs, my guess is if your unit has the switch on the face, it probably has the inputs on the back. Just a guess though, my unit only has the input for the special cable for the cd changer and rca outputs for the two clarion ampliifiers. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

My head unit is still on the boat, Ill try to get by there before christmas and i will let you know the exact model. If it will work as an exact replacement that would be nice, the head unit works great, no issues with it.

Hi Jeff,
Is the head unit a M5170 Clarion? My head unit is bad and is an AM/FM cassette combination. Not sure if you have the same thing, but would be willing to give you $100. for it if it's the same?
Thanks,
Jack

Jeff if the cd player is a M635 and is still available I am interested, please let me know. Thanks, Ray

Hi Jeff,

Is the head-unit a M1000R?

If so, please let me know your price! (if you still have it).

To what system did you upgrade it? Did you had to replace wires/connections or was it just plug and play?

Thanks!

Roy
