Comments on the sideshift 350. Anyone have one?

I have a 96 searay 500 sundancer. I would like to add a bow thruster to it but not wanting to spend a fortune on it. Have seen a few things on the sideshift ss350 just wondering if anyone has one

Welcome waterman! Not sure why no one responded to your question but must have fallen through the cracks.
I have no experience as my 380DA is without thrusters, however my heated storage neighbor must have decided to add one to his boat this off season. IMO if you can afford a 500DA and want a bow thruster, do it right and have one properly installed through hull. This boat is a Lake Michigan boat. Can you imagine getting into some hard breaking 5 footers? To me it looks impractical and silly.
