Commander 3000 Control replacement

Hi all,

my Quicksilver Commander 3000 control body (remote throttle) is acting weird, especially with the "throttle only" button (wont come out), and I have reviewed all the options, and many parts are not available anymore. So I might have to change the whole remote control body, so my question is, what are my alternatives in a new unit? I can see that the one i have is a so-called Gen-I and the new ones are Gen II, where the cables are not compatible, is that true? Please advice, I appreciate...

The Commander 3000 was recalled about the time your boat was built, was yours ever fixed?

OK, thats interesting. I can see that my Commander 3000 has the sticker saying Sep 18 1995, so its just out of the recall, and my HIN ends in 7AXXX..

Any of you knows the Uflex B184 - 38946 D? This seems from their webpage that these can be used with the existing gen I cables (with a connection kit). And its maybe a little cheaper than the GEN II 4000 MPC...
