Coffee maker

We chunked the B&D and replaced it with the perfect sized Keurig that makes a single cup.

We did the same, and would do it all over again. Removing the "space maker" gave me a ton of extra space in the cabinet to stow all the booze and a Keurig. I ended up selling the unit on ebay.....this is a fairly hot commodity.

Spot for mine looks like this I don't think that is gonna fit.

looks like more space than you think. Some of the single serve pod coffeepots are pretty small ( i have a really small Mr. Coffe that works exactly like a Keurig and uses Keurig or any pod for that matter. Try removing the backer board panel and that'll give more height and width for your NEW pot - if it's too wide you can always use the extra space for storing the pods in a basket.

The final solution to coffee makers that quit... 1 for the kitchen at home and 1 for the boat . No glassware to break. Circuit board to fry . Boiler yo crap out . Filter to buy or run out of . It is a good size double stainless wall so stays hot a while too .I'll never have to buy another yay. View attachment 58226

hah! I've got one of those that I used to use while out camping - made great coffee as I recall, used it over and open flame many times too. Guess I should dig that bad boy out!

Here is a pic of my Keurig in the same cabinet where the OEM coffee maker was located:

My wife Melanie ordered ours from Amazon because we were not going to buy another electric drip maker since we bought 3 over a period of 4 years for our kitchen. It sucks that stuff is all disposable now.my parents got 20 years plus out of the one that lived in our house as a kid . Now we have 2 that'll last us for home and boating. I think if our governments actually cared about climate change they would not allow imports of cheap crappy goods that don't last and insist that products sold gave a 5 year minimum replacement warranty. Oh ya I forgot they get 14% of every sale in Canada so no incentive there . I bet thier profit msrgin is higher at 14 % than some of the manufacturers since they have no overhead .Arrrgg rant over time to go fishing.

Me too. Why is that? Does CSR assume all photos are a specific orientation?

maybe it has something to do with the orientation of the phone when the pic was taken.....

I just received my Keurig Mini for my morning coffee on the boat. It has a removable water compartment, a strong brew button, a place to store 9 pods, and a removable tray to fit a travel mug. For storage, it measures 12in High, 12in Deep, 4.5in Wide.

It was a toss up between Nespresso which I know is really good, but I’m sure the Keurig will do the job.

I just keep an electric Drip coffee maker on the counter. Just set the carafe in the sink before getting underway.

I've been considering that exact little keurig (but I've had such bad luck with Keurig's that I've sworn the off) however, that cute one sure looks like it'll fit the bill.

We use a Keurig and as above didn't have very good luck as well. Seemed to clog up, etc. Then we started using bottled water and have had no issues with the same unit for over 4 years. Replace the filter when it asks and run their cleaner fluid through once a year.

I removed the OEM drip machine in favor of an electric water kettle and a French press. Makes about 4 cups and takes far less room in the galley. When on the hook I boil water using a great little butane stove out in the cockpit. The 44DBs galley suffers from adequate storage as it is and there is no room for a space saver anyway. The drip machine is stowed in the lower cabinet an strapped in so it is a pain to get out anyway not to mention the space to takes up.

I am an admitted coffee junkie. I typically have about 10 -15 cups per weekend (Friday night thru Sunday afternoon).
We use a Keurig and keep it on the counter and always use bottled water.
Spare K Cups are keep it the cabinet where the old coffee maker was along with some extra mugs.
Works well for us, this will be our 4th season using this setup.
