Cockpit TV

Is this for me? I got it at the Sea Ray Dealer. The part numbers are listed above in this thread.

"There are three parts: Mount and Pole 1807962; Base 1807963; Grommet 1013762. The prices are: 129.36, 138.46, and 11.70. Some of the numbers are the same on different boats."

John,

I first saw this on the 43 DA at the Palm beach show. Is this the unit you priced? I was thinking of rigging three bases and two pole/LCD assemblies and move between cockpit/salon/master. I was thinking about placing one in the corner of the bar forward of the galley starboard side.

Note the black bracket that mates the SR mount to the TV rear mount. This is a standard wall mount flat TV bracket reversed to allow the smaller VESA SR mount grid to interface with the larger VESA grid on the TV. Just drilled 4 holes in the bracket to mate up with the SR mount. The black bracket is in 2 parts, the one part directly mounts to the TV via the VESA, the other part was drilled to align with the SR mount, then it is slid over the bracket mounted to the TV and secured with 4 screws on the bottom that attaches both bracket parts together.

Sprink,

Similar, but mine doesn't have that bend which extends the tv out so far. It has a weld there, I think.

OK. I need to get the part number for the curved pole. My situation will gain advantage with the offset that it provides.

MM Pompano is showing the pole for a 43DA to be PN 1940023 for $265.49...includes base. Parts book shows the 43DA with the straight pole as opposed to curved. The boat I was on (43DA) had the curved pole...could have been just tossed on the boat for the show:huh:

Sooooo...at this point I'm not sure what the curved pole PN is. I'll "dig deeper"

Sprink...did you ever find the part number for the curved pole?

Could someone who has used the Sea Ray base and pole, measure the diameter of the base? I need to find out diameter of the round base.

Also, when you installed...did you just use a whole saw?

Don't know and yes, a hole saw.

I am trying to find out the diameter of the base, because I have a very limited area in which to mount. My preference is to use this mount, instead of one mounted to the radar arch. I would like to intstall the base somewhere above the door, aft of the cockpit fridge.

I actually didn't like the way it looked on the wet bar, felt it was in the way, and wasn't high enough to be able to see in the water and in an awkward spot while sitting at the dock, so I went with a 20" Flip Down mounted in the arch. No drilling required, everything is mounted to a custom inclosure which was mounted to existing holes for what I assume would have been overhead speakers.

Am very happy with the way it turned out:
