Cockpit Refrigerator – Ventilation Setup

Looks great Alex - on a side note - if you look at Vince's door to the right his storage door has vents or slots in it - Mine does as well. Which this all opens up to the back of the fridge area - I think between the white vents under the port side seat and the slots in the door ventilation is more than adequate. You may consider vents in your storage area door.

Thanks skolbe, interesting point. I'll have to brainstorm this one.

The key component I had considered for ventilating my fridge was the side grill that provides ventilation to the engine room. The same grill extends forward and provides ventilation to the space where the port side of the fridge is located. So, I thought that between the large grill openings and two vents under the port seat it should be fine.

Here's the pic of Vince's fridge shelf that covers that space. I always liked that idea and was thinking on building the same assuming that it covered the space completelly making it nice and neet. However, when I saw how the grill is providing ventilation I backed out of the nice shelfing idea and left it wide open. I hope it was the right decision, but it appeared logical to me.
