hi i'm new here.Just bought an 86' 230cc but need a cockpit cover.anyone have any sugestions i have no idea where to start.I am in northern New Jersey.Any ideas would be a help.

i dont think you'll find one off the shelf. we got one custom made this spring for our 230 week ender from boat canvas maker. it cost $800.
this was in utah so dont know how the prices back there are

Talk to your local upholstery guy. There are many options on the cockpit cover like putting it on with the bimini up or down, covering the windows or just to the top of the windshield and others. The custom route will give you exactly what you want and will also preserve your camper canvas when not in use. I think we paid around $600 back in 2002 for the mooring cover on our 250 DA.

we had ours fit to the orignal snaps that came to the bottom of the windsheild and then had them fit it to the biminis folded down on the side windows frames but not off.
they would have fit them so they would snap around the frames and stayed up but i wanted to trailer with it as well as mooring and didnt want them sticking up.
for us this is the best of both. when we use our full cover we have to take them off and thats a pitb.

Local canvas guy made us one for $75

Really?
$75? Was it a 20' x 30' vinyl tarp and he threw in some bungies?

Spend the $$$ and get your local guy to make a nice custom fitting one.
Makes life simple. Mine was $600.

Nope, Sunbrella with snaps to fit over the helm...sorry, just saw this read "Cockpit"....I was thinking helm.
