Our carpet was original to our 2005 boat and you can see from the first picture, in pretty sad shape. We ordered our new set from Custom Marine Carpet, and delivered to our door in California just 5 days after ordering. We finally got down to install this over the holiday weekend. They had a template on file for our boat and it was pretty much a perfect fit. The snaps went in a little tougher than I imagined, but once I figured out the process and got a feel for it, it started to go faster. The whole job end to end, including scrubbing as much of the black backing from the old carpet off the deck as possible , took only 2 hours. We are really happy with the result, and the service we got from CMC, they sent us sample swatches of the 4 or 5 we were considering, were super communicative over email and I felt the final price was right, about a quarter of the Nuteak alternative we were considering.

Nice. I had them make new ones for my 280,,, sands with the Nu-wave upgraded backing and love it. Likely having them do our 320 (if it all goes right) over the off season.

We went with the "driftwood" with Nu Wave backing. My Admiral originally wanted Nuteak, but at more than 5 times the price, I just couldn't pull the trigger. I can buy new carpet every 2 years for a decade before I would break even. I figure if I clean this stuff, I will get 5 years out of it, we are careful, clean, kid less, people.

I like the darker color. Hides dirt and stains better. Very nice!

A couple of questions for you.
Is elbow grease the only way to remove the black backing stuck to the deck, or are there some cleaners or other tricks?
I received my set from CMC a few weeks ago, and they look great. Did you rent the snap tool from them?
Mike

You know, with the new backing, I did not even put snaps into the carpet. I lies very flat and does not curl up. Much easier to pull up to gain access to whatever is underneath, and does not slip at all. I have removed my snaps and filled them in. You might want to try without snaps first.

Same here (what boatingnut said).
