How to remove the CO Detector on my 2004 SDA. Is it hard wired and does it have a shutdown relay. I will replace it with a Fire Boy battery powered one.

The cover comes off and then it's screwed to the wall.

I replaced my old wired one with a new wired one.

I added a switch cover plate to make it look good.

Thanks. How did you get the old one off.

This was the old one...... the cover just snaps off to expose the circuit board and screws holding it to the wall...... but be very careful when you disconnect the wires that they don't shoot back into the wall. Don't ask me how I know.

These have no generator shut off so they were a great replacement for the 2 old units in my 98 290 DA

The little switch plate cover really wasn't needed but it made for a cleaner installation.

Ordered two of those last weekend as well, ours are from '97 and we have an infant on the way so I wanted some working detectors
