Hello Everyone. My wife and I are closing on her this week. Plan is to move her over from Pasadena, MD. to Mears Point in Grasonville, MD. later next week. Keeping her wet until the end of November, and hoping to stretch my short season. Lots of Salty Dogs on this site, and even a few Pirates. I am glad to be here with you. Best! Andrew
Congratulations Andrew! I met you and your wife on G-Dock at Mears. Did you make a slip selection yet?
Thanks K9. I believe you are King Throttle Jockey on a similar big booty AC also. What part of Florida are in?
Andrew, Congratulations as you will love the Boat. We had a 2001 420AC we bought in 2007 and loved every minute aboard. We did the Great Loop in 2015/16 and felt we had the best boat on the water for the trip. Sold her to good friends last year and they are loving her as well. We moved on to a 52DB asi was getting to the point I was ready for something a little different for the next 3-5 years. Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions as you will find many will offer answers from experience on this forum!
Thanks John. I will be keeping my eye out for a 52DB flying a gold burgee(Gimme Time II). We are seriously considering spending Thanksgiving at the Tides Inn(Irvington), your neck of the Bay. I have not reached out to them yet.
You will have no problem getting a slip there but if you plan to go I’d make dinning room reservations pronto to get a good time ! We’re in Portsmouth now probably headed back to Deltaville right after the Urbanna Oyster Festival which is the first weekend in November. We typically head up Wednesday or Thursday depending on weather & river conditions with six or seven boats we travel with from time to time. That’s generally the last major weekend we get together as we head South to KW right after Thanksgiving. Most likely start Ing South Friday or Saturday depending on the sea conditions as we plan to be in Ft Lauderdale on the 15th to catch the Boat Christmas parade this year! Give me a shout out on PM when closer & I’ll shoot you my cell as we might get to catch up with you as you pass right by Norview Marina in Deltaville
