We closed on our 290DA today! :smt038We're having underwater lights and a bilge heater installed. We went on the sea trial yesterday. Our girls loved it (ages 6.5 and 2.5). They started out in the aft bunk watching a portable DVD and then moved to the big tv in the salon to watch a DVD. It was a little cold in the 40's but with the camper encloser up and the heat on it was very comfortable.

We were very please with the boat. Captians delivery is schedule for next Saturday. We're having trouble coming up with a name for the boat. Any ideas?

Congratulations on your purchase. I have seen pictures, but our dealer has yet to stock one here. Good Luck

Congratulations, where are you slipping it?

We thought about that but since it's a totaly different type of boat we want a new name. We have a few in mind but nothing really seems to be the one.

Talking with my buddy at Allatoona he said something about you doing stone countertops.

How about "Top Stone" or "Lots of Tops" or the wife's name is always a good one! Have to keep them happy anyway we can:lol:

Thanks for the ideas. Who do you know at Allatoona?

Ok. We're thinking in a couple of directions. Family oriented we have 2 girls ages 6.5 and 2.5. The other would be in a funny direction.

Having 2 girls myself(Much older now, 20 & 25) here is a couple thoughts.

Princess Retreat
Daddy's Girls
Floating Angels
Angels Aboard

Not sure if you could do a play on combining the girls names??

Joe Holvey, Sure hate that I missed the Fall TN run with you all. I've done most of it myself a couple times with the family. The floating cabins at Hales Bar are a good base of operations for that sections of the TN river.

Thanks for the ideas. The TN trip was alot of fun. The guys at MM Alltoona are a great bunch of folks.

Perhaps the funniest and most appropriate boat name I have seen for someone with two young girls is . . . The Laughing Place

since you are the only male...you could name it "Girl Trapped" or "My 3 ladies" or "Lucky Ladies" or "Queens of Hearts" or "4 medicinal porpoises" (since there are 4 our you)

"Float~n~Giggle", "Second Dose",

oh yeah congrats by the way!
Very cool!

congrats on your new boat :)
I think "medicinal porpises" was a brilliant name!
I'd be tempted to keep that one....
