Looks like I will be enjoying the 36 for another year.....we have come to a dead end on the 44 and 48......

48 16% (35K) difference from what i will spend and they will sell with my trade (cash difference 380k)
44 14% (55K) difference from what i will spend and they will sell with my trade (cash difference 264K)

They are trying to shop my boat for one week to see if anything can be done with numbers.

There's worse positions to be in. Good luck either way.

Where these boats in stock? Or were they being built to order... I've heard the discounts aren't as big as they were a few months ago...

Just curious on how you calculated your top dollar? Obviously if the 48 is in the budget, the total dollar amount for the 44 wasn't too high. The difference in monthly payment at 20 years I assume isn't significant either.

Your logic for the value for each would be interesting to me.

Gary, both 2008 leftovers. 48 standard drive...44 zeus...

I put my own value (whether right or wrong) through my own research on 08 models (new and used) and values that were giving to me through educated people within the industry. I know the bottom number on the 44 and 48. The flucuation comes in what they will give me for my boat. Thats where we are apart right now in trade value. I also do not need financing which carries some value.

Just curious, why going from a DB to a DA?

Selfishly, I love the Bridge for myself and my two kids. A perfect condo on the water......1/2 the time the boat is used for business and the dancer affords everyone to be on the same level. I can have up to 10 people on the boat 1/2 the time the boat is used and my bridge can not support the weight. I would need a yacht to carry the weight of 10 250 pound guys........that is the only reason.

I understand. Is there a published weight limit up there?

I hope you don't have 250 lb pole dancers. Tell the 250 lb guys to lose some wieght.

i think it says 6 people or 900 pounds..or 8 people and 1200 pounds.....just a wild guess.....under normal use, there is no problem......I did have 12 hooter girls on the boat and they met the 1200 pounds...

I've been on B-Rock's 360SB with a bunch of guys up above and you can feel the swaying, especially when you get a nice wind. That is the same answer he gave when I asked him about capacity on the bridge-"6 or 8 people or something like that." At least I don't fit in the 250 and above category.

Looking around the web, it appears used boat prices have tanked along with the economy. It seems that Brunswick would need to kick in some dollars to get the spread down for the dealers if they want to sell some new boats for people trading up.

With rates low and a second home deduction financing seems a good option for my circumstances, but I don't have my own business deductions.

I admire your will power and not getting "two foot (12 foot) "itis" just because its time for a bigger boat!

Welcome to the club. Another year on the 290DA. We'll have at it next year.

I am pretty sure the max weight on the bridge of the 36DB while underway is 750 lbs. That gets burned up pretty quick with a few guys on board....we will always find space for the Hooters girls though.
