Anyone from the Cleveland area recommend a good transient dockage marina?

I am planning a trip over to watch an Indians game with the boys, and need a decent place to tie up while we are there.

Thanks!

Randy.

I like the Olde River Yacht Club. You'll have to contend with the bridges, but the facilties are excellent, and they're very welcoming.

They installed all-new floating docks this past year. I'm eager to see it.

You can also tie up to the wall at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but there's no power or security. That might be an option for the daytime and then move for the night?

You can also try east 55 marina for the night, shes just east of the rock hall.

We made the trip from Buffalo to Put-In-Bay a few times and stopped in cleveland and stayed at the Olde River Yacht Club each time. Like previously mentioned, There is a railway bridge to deal with but It's not a big deal and It's close to the Flatts entertainment district, (although that's not as good as it once was). If I recall, the last time we were there it was about a $15 cab ride to the Jake. Enjoy your your trip

And how many gallons of fuel?

The entertainment aspect of The Flats has been gone for quite some time. Shooters still dominates the west bank and allows boaters to tie to the wall, but the wild, waterfront bars and restaurants of the east bank are gone. If you tie up at Shooters, ORYC is just a mile down the west arm of the river. Just make sure to avoid Shooters if there's any kind of northern wind.

Losing The Flats hasn't been such a bad thing, really. Much of the action just moved up the hill to the Warehouse District, where you're much more likely to get a good meal, and much less likely to end up with vomit on your shoes.

The Warehouse District has plenty to offer, including: The Metropolitan Cafe, Blue Point Grill, D'Vine Wine Bar, Johnny's Downtown... Just make sure to give The Brasa Grill a great big MISS. Yuck.

Another of my favorites is Pickwick & Frolic downtown. Good food, a Sunday Brunch and a comedy club in the basement.

The Sunset Bar and Grill is located in the nearby Whiskey Island Marina, which is staggerable from ORYC if you want to eat to much fried food and drink way too much beer and not deal with a cab. (I'm um, only guessing)

Mark, How long did it take to make the trip from buffalo to Put-in-Bay?
We always take our time, stop at Geneva on the Lake Ohio, Cleveland, Cedar Point, etc but in 2002 we came straight back. The lake was like a mill pond and my wife and kids took turns at the helm so it was not so bad. 9 hour run straight to the fuel dock at Buffalo. It took 201 gallons of fuel. according to my log from that boat, we averaged 1.23 MPG on that run. (330 dancer, 7.4's, Bravo III's ) It would cruise 28 MPH @ 3100 RPM
