I want to clean my canvas i have heard to use joy w/o bleach or ammonia in it . i seem to have mold spots under the aft sunshade it is sunbrella w/ the vinyl backing any thoughts?

Cleaned my canvas last winter using the solution calling for bleach in this link.

It did a pretty good job. Mine also had mold from not being maintained by PO. I mix a little white vinegar in water as a wipe down during the boating season to keep after it. (vinyl side)
Hope this helps.

I'd echo the 303 cleaner, and then put 303 protectant on afterwards. I've asked our marina detailers this exact question, and this is what they use/do. I use "mold away" on interior, then use 303 protectant on the insides as well to prevent mold from reoccurring. This is also what our marina detailers use.

Another option: several in our marina like using "Simple Green", by spraying it on and then using a powerwasher to clean the canvas. Don't use a high-power washer. My dock mates also highlight that this method has advantage of also cleaning the zipper areas.

Add another vote for Shurhold's Moldaway. I use a lot of Shurhold stuff to maintain my boat and it's all high quality and effective.
