Clarion XMD1 Wired remote cut out

Replacing a Clarion XMD1 M102 RCB remote finally!!!. I think it’s a round cutout. Can’t find the dimensions. Anybody have an old one laying around to measure, know the cutout dimension from an earlier install?

Looking at a fusion RNX300. I think it takes a 2.5” cutout. Hoping this will work.

Mine is a round unit surface mounted. I would assume there is only a hole for the wire.

I replaced the old Clarion remote last year with the Fusion RNX300 remote. The RNX300 was able to fit in the existing cutout without a problem. I don't recall the model of the Clarion, but given our boots are the same year, I would imagine we both had he same Clarion remote.

Dave, the previous owner of my boat replaced the original Clarion with a Fusion 600 and Fusion WRC 600 round remote.
I replaced the head unit about a month age with a Fusion UD-650 and also installed the Fusion nrx-300 wired remote.
The round hole for the old WRC 600 remote was bigger than I needed for the new nrx-300 so I bought a Fusion NRX 200AP adapter plate.

Is it screwed/glued/bolted from behind?

I'll be glad when this thing is gone...the documentation, besides being MIA is awful.

If I recall, there is a bracket on the back of the unit that 'clamps' the remote in place

How are you connecting the remote to the Fusion head unit? Do you have the proper cables, etc? Mine is connected via a SeaTalk network which required a special NEMA to SeaTAlk Cable

I removed the Radar from the pod and can see the clarion remote buried way over to the side. That's going to be a biotch to get out!

The Fusion remote is NEMA 2000 and the remote comes with a small backbone setup. However, not installing the remote just yet. Having issues with feed back loops when I install the Fusion head.
