Clarion XMD 3 remote issues

Hi all.

I have the original XMD 3 head unit installed in my 260DA. I have the helm remote and the transom remote. It appears that the transom remote does not work anymore at all. It is illuminated but no buttons work and the screen is blank. The helm remote is also having issues - display works just fine but is not responsive to any input.

I have no issues with the XMD 3 despite it's age, it works just fine. Any ideas on how I might be able to fix the remotes? Or at the very least just the helm remote? I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in but that did not fix the problem. Has anyone had this issue before?

Probably internal corrosion. I just bought a boat that has that system but the radio (head) was gone. I was told they worked befor. Not using them anymore if you’re interested.
