From Day one with this boat, I have had the "Linking" message display consistently on 2 Clarion Head units. A common problem with this year boat. Two years ago I upgraded to the CMD4 HU, new sirius antenna, antenna wiring and upgraded from the original SIRCL1 tuner/interface to the second gen single box unit (sorry, model number escapes me). Only a minor improvement. Would STILL show the 'linking' message when underway - major distraction when at the helm.

Finally upgraded to the 2-box SCC1 and CLASC1 this past weekend. ($15 charge requested from Sirius to change the SID number on my account - but they waived it) Happy to report that after a 5 hour day on the boat, the sirius unit finally worked as well as it does in my car with no more linking.

I wish I could control my XM from the helm, but I do not want another subscription and the portable XM does great otherwise. I did install an antenna for it. Glad you solved your issue, they can drive you bonkers. MM
