After some screwing around I finally found it to be the antenna wire. I plugged a new wire in the tuner and pulled an arch light and plugged it in there and viola!
Not all good news... next problem... running the new wire where it's suppose to be.
It currently runs from the antenna, across the arch and down behind the battery switches. Then it goes through a bulkhead that I can barely see with a mirror and a flashlight. It's got what looks to be a million or so tubes of silicone sealing the hole in the bulkhead where all the wiring is. I removed all the wire ties and pulled... it just barely moves with lots of effort. If I pull any harder it might break.
Any ideas?
Unless a better idea surfaces I'm going to have to take a chance and grease up the old cable (as best I can) and pull til' it breaks or moves. If it starts to move I think the lubed up old wire will pull through with the fish tape then I'll be ok... I think. The new one is a little smaller diameter.
Someone chime in with the miracle cure please!
