I think this amp has problems. Should I find somewhere to get it fixed or replace it? Replace it with the same or something comperable?

Can you identify and describe the problem?
If it were in need of repair I would replace with new. The APX400 is not a bad amp but you would have a chance to upgrade if indeed replacement was to be.

The last time I was talking about changing my system I took a little heat for wanting to use clarion products. Most members will recommend JL Audio and my research seems to back this recommendation. I have bought several amps for my upgrade, I just haven't gotten around to replacing the head unit yet. Unfortunayely, I recently got hit with a "side flash" lightening strike and it appears that my head unit along with my GPS & Chartplotter has been taken out. It's time for a new one now!
