clarion amp

I have a 1998 290DA, would anyone happen to know what model Clarion amp they installed, I forgot to write it down and am at home now. Also when I was looking at the amp I could only see 2 wires going to it, does that sound right?

Two wires is right. Call MM and get a marine audio amp. The amp really does not matter.

1 hot, 1 ground, 1 blue wire to tell it to turn on, left and right in from head unit (2 each) then 2 out for each speaker.

I have a 1998 310 with a Clarion amp. Where do they mount the amp? I never looked for it. I do notice that the speakers mounted in the arch are louder than the other two lower in the cockpit. I replaced them this season with Infinity Speakers, which sound great. This leads me to believe only the arch speakers are attatched to the amplifier. Does anyone know for sure?

Well I got it figurd out, the two aft speakers are controlled with the amp, the arch and foward speakers are from the source unit, I replaced my amp (which is behind the power breakers) and added four new Polk db651s for the arch and aft which are now powered from the amp, front speakers are from source, makes it easy to fade for those sensitive ears, they can go down in the cabin while I blast away. Holy crap!!!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE.
