While trying to winterize '04 5.0L MPI, the fan belt was squeeling. I noticed that the circulator AND raw water pump pulleys were not turning. I figured they were frozen (it got cold last night), but if I loosen the belt, the circulator pulley turns by hand (not while engine runs, though). The raw water pump pulley seems to want to turn only the wrong way by hand.
I plan on using a prtable heater to heat up the engine compatment tomorrow, but wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone has an idea why they would act this way.
