On a 1989 340 Express Cruiser, can anyone tell me if there are fuses or circuit breakers connected with the bilge pumps...it seems to me that there should be...thanks...Bob

Not sure if Sea Ray used breakers or fuses back in 1989 but you should have one or the other on your DC panel.

Bob, on my '91, the only breaker for the bilge pumps was one of the push to reset circuit breakers on a panel in the bilge. I had one for the forward, aft and emergency. I never did find an inline fuse. When I have had issues, most were due to a bad float switch not the circuit. Over the years I have had to re-do the butt connectors if the connection got brittle. Mine were not heat shrinked (I think that's a word) and caused power loss.

Thank you...that is where I shall look next...Bob

Thank you...I am actually trying to turn off the two lights on my control panel so that they do not run down my battery as the boat is in dry dock right now and often is not hooked to shore power...I was hoping to just pull a fuse but cannot find one...I really appreciate your input...thanks again...Bob

If your boat is dry docked, would it be easier to just disconnect your batteries?

yes you would think, but I am short and fat and my batteries are located in the bowels of hell...I disconnected the wires feeding the indicator lights by taking loose the control panel...I was just hoping for a easier way...thanks for the reply...Bob
