I am in need of some help if you have a moment. I am recruiting blood donors for my 6th Annual Blood Drive at my Fire Department. I am a Career Lieutenant/Firefighter/Paramedic for the Springfield Township Fire Department (Finneytown) for the past 13 years and have been a volunteer Donation Coordinator for Hoxworh Blood bank for the past 6 years. For those of you who live in the Cincinnati area the information is below. For those of you who do not but have friends and family in the area who would be willing to give a pint for us please pass this info on. Any help would be tremendously appreciated. I went to Mexico last Janurary and now.......they don't want my blood! Went Friday and after an hour they sent me packing. (malaria risk area)

Info only, it's likely a one year deferment. I've give gallons and have been deferred for trips to Mexico (multiple times), Costa Rica (twice) and Belize. It's always been a one year deferment. Keep trying, each pint can help save 4 lives.
