CI Trip at the end of July

Has anyone made a run there this Summer?



We are doing a 10 day trip at the end of July. SD – DP – Big Geiger Cove – Two Harbors – Avalon - SD.



We are hitting Avalon on a Monday morning, so I am hoping I can get on an inside mooring, and not placed outside by the Casino.

I just got an 07 44 Sundancer last week. Picked it up in Channel Islands and brought it down to San Diego on Thursday of last week. Took the most direct route, passing about 3 miles to the east of Catalina. We left at 7:15 AM and pulled into the Harbor West fuel dock around 3 PM. Stopped 2-3 times for whales. Burned about 240 gallons of fuel for about 170 miles. The boattest.com test results page is very inaccurate. I didn't get anywhere near .9 MPG.

Water was FLAT from Catalina to Point Loma. I'd say 1-2 feet at most.
