When I got the boat it didn't have a full cover so I used the cockpit and bow covers on it when it was left outside. Water was still able to get into the boat plus the fiberglass chalked up a little on the top.

Since overtons is running a sale on the Gladiator Covers plus you can get $5 off for every $50 you spend (until 3/15/07). I think I'm going to get a full cover.

Here is what I'm thinking but would appreciate any comments or suggestion you might have.

-I won't be towing with this cover
-I'm leaning toward the Sharkskin fabric because of the lightweight.
-Even though my boat is black I was thinking about getting the silver color so that the cover wouldn't absorb as much heat from the sun.

Thanks in Advance

I decided to go with the Hurricane Sharkskin cover in black. This is a custom cover that comes with towing straps although I really don't plan to tow with it. If I have a heat buildup problem I will install some Boat Vents that I already have and if still a problem upgrade to solar vents.

As stated previously Overtons has their covers on sale. I did find a different coupon code (V15OFF250) which enabled me to get 15% off the the listed cover price. That bumped my discount from $35 to $53. All said and done. I was able to get this cover for $320 delivered to my house.

Good deal; last fall I too purchased a (semi-custom) boat cover from Overtons. They have good prices. At the time, they didn't have the same lineup they now do; didn't have Sunbrella. I purchased their best cover...man is it heavy! Very nice though and reasonably priced.

Just go the boat out of storage and went to put the cover on and it is a little snug. I can't get it over the rear deck without a lot of work. I will call westland in the morning but I'm wondering if it is normal for the cover to be a little tight at first.

The cover is a sharkskin custom cover from westland.

Just wanted to provide a little update on my boat cover in case someone else is in the market as well. The cover has stretched nicely to easily go on/off the boat as needed. We also have had a little rain here recently and the interior has stayed bone dry which was one of my goals since I was going to be leaving the boat outside in between trips.
