chomping at the bit

Yup, we're back in WA now and have been for a couple of weeks. Just got back here in time to catch the last of the temps in the 30's. B-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R.

Today it was 63*, light winds, sunny skies. Almost feels like spring is here. The daffodils and crocuses ((croci???)) in GW's garden are up and flowering and today we spread 7 bags of bark around the garden in front. Felt good to work out there in a t-shirt and jeans.

Diesel was $2.339 at the club when I filled it. That's about $.10 to $.15 lower than the street price of diesel. Go figure. I'm not griping, but it seems odd.

I just topped off at $3.39/gal. A real deal here in Nor Cal. Price of Over the Road Deisel is about $3.45. Why exactly do I love Ca?

Wow. That IS a real deal for this area. I just put in 100 gallons @ 3.82 / gal (and that includes my $.30/gal marina "discount"). That's for gas. Not sure what they charge for D.

Winter's set to give us another good kick. Forcast is 10-14 in with 40-50mph winds expected. Schools already closed in advance.

Just delayed splash day another week for the second time. Too cold/rainy to paint the bottom. Too cold/rainy to do a lot of things. Doing anything I can while on the hard. The guys in white are going to drag me out of the boatyard in a straightjacket.

Finally a nice day with Sun and temps above 50F. Most of the snow is gone from the grounds except for the big plowed piles. Took advantage of the nice weather to get the wrap off the boat.

But wait - snow is back in the forecast for tomorrow night - will winter every leave us alone. At least with the projected temps a few inches would be gone by the afternoon.
