The city absolutely sucks (and has been headed that way for more than 10 years). Went to a concert about this time last spring. Spend a whole lot of time planning routes, where to part, where to walk, etc. trying to stay safe. The next day there was one of those flash mobs that shut the streets down, damaged cars, beat people, etc. The exact block we were on the day before -- that could have been us caught in that mess.

When we go down to see the kid, have to keep your guard up. Just down the street from him there were several incidents. It seems they are working in threes plus a driver. Car pulls up, three dudes jump out rob, car jack, etc. Chit happens at all times of the day.

Two weeks ago, my foreman was carjacked at gun point in a home depot parking lot. Middle of the fkg day. Thug put a gun to his head. His wife too.

What I am completely disappointed and shocked about is none of these perps are getting popped Charles Bronson Death Wish style. The population has become wussified.

My son has been there twice in the last 6 months for work. Boss told him to take the subway after he lands. He said nope...taking an Uber and putting it on the company card.
Daughter has been to Philly a few times in the past year for work. Lady at their Philly office told her she put her up in a nice hotel in the nicer part of town but then told her under no circumstances do you leave that hotel after dark and never alone. And that was in the nicer part of town...lol. Has to be safe in these cities. I mean they have the strictest gun laws in the country.
 
Don’t worry. The real Brandon is on it. Lets sue the oil companies. Yeah, that‘s the ticket.

Back in the early 80s a good friend of mine took me to one of his friends apartment for a party. Turns out it was the apartments that looked down at the Cubs baseball field. We watched the game from the rooftop.

Same apartment building that later had bleachers put on top of the apartment building.

I'm not surprised none of those thugs gets popped. With IL's tough gun laws, only the thugs now have guns.

They're tough. But not impossible. You can at least carry in all counties with the proper "permit."
 
I watch Mayor Brandon at a recent council meeting. They were taking comments from the crowd, he stood there, never said a word, the sweat was pouring, he had a rag out wiping his head & face.
 
You’d be sweating too if you were as far out over your skis as he is. Clueless about running a big city, but his competition was an old white guy so of course he gets the nod. Now all those peeps are bitching about him and his policies. Be careful what you wish for!

What a difference between Chi-town and AZ where we have been for a few weeks. I got tired of paying $50 in checked bag fees to take a gun back and forth between home and here so I decided to buy one to keep down here.

All I had to do was get an AZ Identification card which took a week and was free. I got the card in the mail, drove to the gun shop where I usually go, passed the background check and walked out with my new gun.

I took it to a VERY nice indoor range, fired a box of FMJ round through it and left.

An hour well spent.

It should be that easy in every state.
 
One of the 'newcomers' nearly decapitated his wife while the kids were watching. Mayor Brandon says he's got room for hundreds of thousands more illegal immigrants. Won't be long and headless corpses will be hanging off the overheads like in Mexico.

The part that sux, is Mayor Brandon can then share them with Milwaukee. That place is turning into Chicago Lite.

We need to be sensitive and respect their customs. I mean, who hasn't wanted to decapitate their wife every now and then?
