Chicago Scene Boat Party 2021

2022 Chicago Scene Boat Party is July 30th. See you in the play pen north of Navy Pier!

Is someone going to a party this weekend? I'm looking for a way to get to Chicago.

Hi! I'm going to Chicago this weekend. I will be leaving Springfield at night or in the morning to be in time for the event. I wanted to arrive earlier, but two weeks ago I got two bachelorette party invitations, so I had to attend them. By the way, my friends told me that every year, the organizers came up with some rules. Will there be some dress code this year, or will I have to bring something with me? Thank you for posting information about the event here; otherwise, I wouldn't have found out about it!

This annual event took place Saturday. Lots of partying and people watching. Weather cooperated and fun was had by all.
See You Tube video taken by drone;
Holy Shit that's a lot of boats, and pee in the water...and an accident waiting to happen.

….and that was at the same place but on a different date. The “Playpen” as it’s called is very popular and always crowded with boats. Many amateurs there so one needs to stay on alert at all times whilst on the hook. :)

It's the definition of chit show. :)

I was talking about this place with Dad yesterday briefly as we exchanged boat project stories. Wife and I have decided that when we are on the boat we want solitude and will invite people out if we want company. I don’t want to be rafted up with strangers crossing my boat to get to another. The one time I was at the Playpen, a drunk girl was thrown out of a boat next to us because she was caught rummaging around below deck and they tossed her onto my friends boat. We didn’t want her on his either so she got ushered further down the line. No thanks.

Was she cute?
