Planning on a bareboat charter in BVI's, any recommendations on companies and provisioning.

We've always used Moorings. They are the best of the best.

We used Virgin Traders. We liked the bridge boat style and with more heads and larger sleeping cabins.
They were good to work with.

I've also heard that Virgin Traders was nice, especially since they cater to the power boaters. Of course, the daughter of some good friends of mine is a partner in the business.

Thanks,
Mike

I have chartered with Moorings 15 plus times going back 20 plus years. Never disappointed. Will be down on a 40' cat in December.

Thanks for the info, anyone use Marine Max?

I have heard positive reviews about Marine Max but also heard they are more expensive than the Moorings for the same boat. Shop around. The Moorings base is world class with an onsite hotel, two restaurants and the nicest showers/locker room on the island. Marine Max is located in Hodges Creek Marina which is serviceable but a different experience.

I'd be very interested in your experience with whomever you decide to go with. My wife and I are looking to do our first bareboat, with 2 other couples, next year to celebrate a bunch of "big" birthdays and anniversaries.

My wife and I have used the Moorings a couple of times and loved it. I think that is where we got bit by the bigger boat bug.
