Charleston SC to Southport NC

I have a 52 Sedan Bridge in Charleston and will be headed to Southport NC. Plans are to stop in Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and then on to Southport. My wife prefers the ICW to running outside and I want her to be happy since she let me have a boat. Just wanted to get input on ICW and areas to be on lookout for. Thanks in advance for the help.

You will need to time your trip with the tide as it get shallow in places on the leg from Charleston to Georgetown at low tide.

Try to hit ICW above Charleston mid tide or above, some shallow spots for the first 20 or so miles. They were dredging that area, not sure if its finished. Stay in Georgetown first night, that will be a good long day. Southport next day easy, watch for debris just north of Gtown, beautiful trip up the Waccamaw. Few bridges to deal with in Myrtle Beach. Should be a good trip in 2 days. Done it many times, ask if any questions.
