This is a link to a video I put together to promote a trip down to the keys to use my boat, that I donate to a live charity auction. Turned out great and again brought huge bids this year.

In total (4 years) it has raised over $120,000 dollars for boys and girls clubs, big brothers big sisters, and a farm the club built for young autistic adults to live and work at called "Farm in the Dell"

I just clicked it and it worked....Hmmm

Very weird. Clicking on it didn't work but I copied the link and pasted to my browser and it did. Anyways, great video, great time and a great cause. Win win for everyone. Thanks for sharing!

You, my friend, have way too much fun! How much does this usually bring in per week? Does your insurance company know you do this? They may consider it commercial use. Also curious to know if you have a captain's license which would be required on a vessel for hire.

Ken,

I wondered some of this as well, but I'm curious if there's a technicality since this is technically a charitable donation and not for hire?

Right but you are still carrying them on your boat and they paid the charity for the use. I know it is okay to carry for make-a-wish, wounded warrior project, etc. but not sure about this. If someone was hurt jumping off of the platform, who is liable?

My insurance company said no problem in writing. Because they paid the charity the money and not me. I hire a licensed captain and 2 girl stewardesses. Its given away at an Event called boys lunch out. So its usually a group of buddies who buy it.

Over the past year the price for the 4 days has ranged from $17,500 to $20,500. It's more about supporting the charity that getting every penny worth. The first 3 years worth of trips was when the boat was in Mexico. This is the first year for Key West.

This was last years video....

Nice! Thanks for the info...

My God man.......you get the "Best videos ever posted on CSR award". As I view, I ask myself....."what the hell did I do wrong?"........I lead a boring life.....very boring.

Putting aside the safety-related items I saw on the video, it is excellent. The boat lobbying/marketing groups could use it to get new boaters into this life of ours...Although my boating life is definitely a lot more mundane than yours!

So do all the young lasses come with the bid? Do I have to bring my wife? time to get thin and a full "bikini wax". Body wax?

Any way great job for a great cause. Damn I miss my boat.

You guys charge a lot harder than we do when we donate the use of our boat to Make A Wish. I am feeling old.

Ewwwww!

After spending -40C/F in Saskatchewan for 8 months out of the year, you kind'a go crazy when your brain thaws out. I know the work Ari does is brutal in the winter so you need to get all you can from the summer months.

Great job supporting the charities too.

It's a charity auction with young business men, so whoever wants to pay the highest dollar gets to go. I don't charge charity anything. They get the proceeds and I get the tax receipt.

He think meant "charge...harder" as in "play harder" not any cost of money.
