I just recently bought a 2001 225 Weekender. I want to change the spark plugs. I've done it for decades in cars, but never in a boat. Do I need marine plugs or will auto plugs work and what size plugs? Also, I'm at home and not looking at the boat right now. I imagine access to the plugs won't be too bad, maybe the back one or two on each side? Are there any problems I need to be on the look out for? I will take an extension and a universal joint attachment.
Thanks for your help

Your engine block started it's life as a Chevy 305 so you'll be very familiar with everything, except for those big exhaust manifolds. The middle plugs will be the hardest as sometimes the manifolds are in the way and the clearance is tight. I use a socket that I made very 'thin wall' on a grinder. As far as plugs go, the temp range is what will be different. Just take one out and take it with you to buy same or cross ref.
