If you look at the 3 different cockpit options at this link:
http://searay.com/Page.aspx/pageId/10232/pmid/171099/230-Select.aspx

Call the first picture A, the second B, and the third C.

just out of curiosity, could you, as an aftermarket project switch from B, to C?

Would be it as simple as just purchasing the other sun pad option from the dealer?

EDIT: I guess in order for you to look you'll have to click the +specs tab and scroll down.

Click on your link and see if you can tell what you're asking us to look at. It just takes you to a 230 Select link.

A concern that I would have would be the back to back port lounge seat. It doesn't look as if there would enough room for that seat in the "C" configuration. It would have to be replaced with a pedestal seat. That then changes the shape of the cockpit carpet, if any.

That's a good question. I don't think the deck molds would be different, but without comparing the two models, it'd be hard to say. Maybe you can look at your boat, and then look at some of the SR pics online to compare? The only thing you'd likely be able to compare, though, would be the bilge blower/vent area. If there's a SR dealer near you, you might be able to compare that way.

Take note to what would be left on your boat if you took your motor box out. Take some basic measurements. Then take a look at a boat with the sunpad and see what it would look like without it there.

The other possibility is to email SR and see what they say.

It could be as easy as swapping the supporting boxes. But, note that "easy" should not be confused with "inexpensive". I have a feeling it will be anything but inexpensive.

Hmmm... you know, as I'm writing this another thought popped in my head. What about fastening the new box to the floor? If the decks are the same, then it should be OK as the reinforcement is likely already in the appropriate spots for the new screws.

I'm doing a lot of guessing here. Really, the best thing would be to contact Sea Ray.

Good point about the back to back seating. I wouldn't have thought of that.

expense is something i'm sure would be a problem. i can't imagine it being a cheap fix.

lie you though, it seems like it could be done possibly with ease.

oh, the pondering that goes on when it's cold out.....

I'm pretty sure when I bought my boat it had config A, but I wanted C and they magically found one when I finally said I would buy but only with config C.

I think it is 100% doable but would have the same concerns with the passenger tandem seats having enough room.
