I'd like to clarify that this is not just between Gary and Wingless and that Wingless is somehow an innocent bystander who got beat up by the schoolyard bully.
My personal experience from Wingless was to be called a "troll" simply because I questioned one of his replies. I even did so politely...at first. This is the reason I went through and deleted all of my past posts. If you get added to Wingless' "troll" list his tactic is to use everything that you have ever posted against you. That was a pissing contest that I didn't want to get into so I deleted all of my posts.
Here's my point -- it wasn't a huge loss to lose my posts but think of all the knowledge that would be lost if everyone did what I did for fear of it being used against them.
I don't give two sh!ts about any of this -- I've seen it a million times on other boards and this will run it's course just like diarrhea.

It does appear some forums ban users. Look at this user over on a Shopsmith forum and the nice title he has below his username....
The Tonka Boater complaint is accurate and typifies the problem caused by wingless.
The problem between them started when wingless requested that trolling be prohibited and Tonka Boater called him a troll. No reply from wingless.
The problem continued when wingless espoused using thinking as a safety measure and TB called wingless an a$$h0le. Again no reply from wingless.
The unfortunate climax was wingless providing accurate information about glass corrosion that TB cited as incorrect. In this instance wingless stepped “over the line” and called TB a troll and cited a reference to support his information.
After the TB “melt down” wingless extended the “hand of friendship” to put differences in the past. The replies containing TB content were even deleted by wingless, to “mend the fences”.
But, the rift is justifiably too great, a chasm.
Yes, TB is a self-proclaimed “nice, patient person”, but clearly this conduct would strain the patience of Job.
Sure be wary of wingless, but there are other members at the brink…
This is another excellent example of wingless' trolling.
But my reply requesting details on a boat lift structure gets detleted by STIHLBOLTS for trolling. Go figure...

Seems JG300DA makes friends everywhere he trolls. Read this one on another forum, as he asks (sarcastically) about another member’s wife and then later jokes about stealing the guy's lunch money.

I actually gave the guy credit and didn't think he was calling my wife ugly but who knows with that guy. He comes across as an unstable whack job at times... probably why him and wingless make such a cute couple.

That's pretty close to what I had envisioned.
There are divergent viewpoints on this topic.
One is to object to a specific member. The other is to object to specific conduct.
The trolls abhor anything that prohibits conduct that would not be tolerated from the worst juvenile on the planet.
I fully support enforcing the existing CSR Forum Rules. I would enjoy returning to fully complying with the existing CSR Forum Rules.
These are the existing CSR Forum Rules that the trolls ignore:
Bad Words
Posts that are profane, vulgar, or contain certain sexually explicit or oriented wording are not allowed. This is a family oriented forum so do not post anything you would not say in front of or discuss with your spouse or 6 year old child.
Personal Attacks
Posts that are threatening, abusive, slanderous, hateful, mocking or considered “flaming” are not allowed.
Handling Disagreements
Due to the nature of forums, there are sometimes disagreements between members. Should they occur, you are expected to handle them courteously and professionally and without resorting to personal attacks, name calling or retaliation.
Additionally, I still support changing the existing CSR Forum Rules to prohibit trolling.
Hopefully this threat hasn’t fallen on deaf ears!
My favorite was the jerk who feels he deserves special treatment ‘cause he spent his last $1.5K w/ an admin, instead of $1.499K on-line.
What would become of this forum when the trolls get their panties in a bunch and go packing?

Perhaps you could read the link I provided. Or, you could find someone who could read that to you.
Ifin that first step were completed and the next step of comprehension were possible, then it would be possible to understand the existing policy permits un-named personal attacks.
I also support changing that rule, but it is a moot point, given the plethora of named attacks.
